HONG KONG, 8 May, 2019 – Players flying the flag for Hong Kong in this week’s EFG Hong Kong Ladies Open were in confident mood today ahead of the fifth edition of the tournament, which tees off at Hong Kong Golf Club this Friday.
Hong Kong Golf Association amateurs Tiffany Wu, Vivian Lee, Chloe Chan, Michelle Cheung, Virginie Ding, Selina Li and Mimi Ho will be part of a 12-strong Hong Kong contingent that includes 2016 winner Tiffany Chan and long-time friend and rival Stephanie Ho.
Chloe Chan said: “I am super excited to play the tournament again. I felt like I gave myself too much pressure and expectations the previous few times, so I will try to relax and focus on playing my own game. The home course advantage definitely plays a role but I will treat it just like any other course that I play and make sure that I have enough preparation.”
The US$ 150,000 purse EFG Hong Kong Ladies Open will be contested by a 123-player field from Friday 10th to Sunday 12th May on the Old Course at Hong Kong Golf Club. With free access, popcorn and family activities to enjoy, the EFG Hong Kong Ladies Open is a family outing not to be missed.
