The Hong Kong Golf Association’s annual R&A Level One Rules School proved popular once again with 60 participants in attendance at the Hong Kong Golf Club on 23 February.  48 took the Level One exam and more than 83 per cent passed.

The one-day Introductory Rules School featured talks in the morning by the R&A-designated Instructors – Mr. Roy Lee, Dr. Brian Choa, Ms Candi-Anna Chan & Mr. Terry Greene followed by on-course sessions with several qualified senior Rules Officials in the afternoon involving four different stations: the teeing area, penalty area, bunker and putting green.

“It was encouraging to see another strong turnout for the annual R&A Rules School at Fanling, including several members of the HKGA’s junior squad,” said Lee, Chairman of the HKGA Rules Committee. “Promoting the Rules of Golf and giving Hong Kong people the opportunity to become a qualified Rules Official is a responsibility that the HKGA takes very seriously.
